Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana Membership Growth Steady in 2015

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana’s (BCBSMT) strength comes from our customers, and 2015 was a good year for all of us. Across BCBSMT’s three market segments—group, government and retail—BCBSMT’s membership growth was solid.

As Montana’s largest and longest-standing customer-owned health insurer, we look forward to 2016 as we continue to build on our reputation of providing quality, affordable health care and administrative services. BCBSMT’s commitment to caring service, innovation, and reducing health care costs through value-based care initiatives remains strong. These values form the foundation of our business as we take a leadership role in developing and implementing cutting-edge programs and services delivered with superior customer service.

Whether from our headquarters in Helena or from one of our district offices in Billings, Missoula, Bozeman, Great Falls, Butte and Kalispell, BCBSMT’s nearly 600 employees are ready to stand with our members in sickness and in health.

During our 75th anniversary year, BCBSMT membership grew by 18,000, giving us the opportunity to provide top-notch health insurance plans and administrative services to more than 270,000 members.

The bottom line: In the changing and competitive landscape of health insurance, these new members had many choices to obtain their coverage, but they chose BCBSMT because of our proven track record of customer performance, innovation and bolder strategies for the future of health care delivery.
